According to the log that text was sent at 2:28 pm. Trump did not make any public attempt to quell the violence until an hour and 49 minutes later.” [Hunter Walker’s Substack, 10/16/22]
Greene Said She Was “Not Vaccinated.” According to CNN, “Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has publicly cast doubt on and spread misinformation about the efficacy of Covid-19 vaccines, revealed Tuesday that she has not been inoculated against the virus, answering a question she has dodged for months. ‘I haven’t been making it public, but I started making it public because it’s such an issue. I’m not vaccinated,’ the Georgia Republican said during a phone town hall.” [CNN, 11/16/21]
Greene: “I’m Very Glad I Never Took The COVID Vaccine And I’m Very Sorry For Those Who Took It.” According to Greene’s Twitter, “I’m very glad I never took the COVID vaccine and I’m very sorry for those who took it because they were either forced or believed the propaganda and now suffer with vaccine injuries or died.” [Twitter, 2/3/24]
Greene Said That The U.S. Food And Drug Administration “Should Not Approve The Covid Vaccines” And Claimed The Vaccines Were “Failing” At Reducing The Virus’ Spread. According to CNN, “A conservative Republican who has a history of promoting various conspiracy theories, Greene has pushed misinformation about the vaccines available in the US. In August, she tweeted that the US Food and Drug Administration ‘should not approve the covid vaccines’ and claimed the vaccines were ‘failing’ and that they were ineffective at reducing the virus’s spread.” [CNN, 11/16/21]
Trump Urged People To Get The COVID-19 Vaccine Which He Called A “Great” And “Safe Vaccine.” According to CBS News, “Former President Trump again urged people to be vaccinated against COVID-19, saying he would recommend vaccination to ‘a lot of people that don't want to get it, and a lot of those people voted for me.’ In an interview Tuesday night on Fox News, Mr. Trump acknowledged that people were free to decide for themselves whether they would be vaccinated against the virus. ‘We have our freedoms and we have to live by that and I agree with that also. But it is a great vaccine. It is a safe vaccine and it is something that works,’ he said. Mr. Trump has promoted the vaccination before. When he appeared Feb. 28 at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, he said, ‘Everybody, go get your shot.’” [CBS News, 3/17/21]

Greene Filed A Motion To Vacate Against Speaker Johnson Voted To Avoid A Government Shutdown. According to NBC News, “Far-right Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Friday filed a motion to oust Speaker Mike Johnson, doing so just as the House voted to avoid a government shutdown. Johnson, R-La., has served as speaker for five months, having taken over for Kevin McCarthy, who was ousted from the top job under a similar process. It was not immediately clear how the House would act on her motion, which requires just a majority vote to remove the speaker. Greene, R-Ga., did not file the motion as privileged — which would force a vote within two legislative days — but instead as a regular motion, which could be referred to a committee, where it would likely languish.” [NBC News, 3/22/24]
A Trump Insider Said Greene’s Threat To Oust Johnson Was A “100 Percent Distraction. Unwanted. And Just Stupid.” According to Politico, “The upshot: Trump world isn’t happy with Greene’s threat to throw the House GOP into chaos once again. There’s a fear that an election-year speakership battle will undercut the party’s goals of keeping the House and flipping the White House and Senate. ‘100 percent distraction. Unwanted. And just stupid,’ one Trump insider told Playbook last night. ‘We’re not going to get trapped into this cycle of bullshit that comes out of members of the House.’” [Politico, 4/11/24]
Another Trump Insider Said Greene Was Not Being “Constructive” And That “The Internal Fighting” Was Not Appreciated By Trump. According to Politico, “‘It’s fair to say we don’t think she’s being constructive,’ another person close with Trump said about Greene. ‘The internal fighting is not appreciated by [Trump].’ The former president’s orbit is growing weary of the constant motion-to-vacate threats, that person added: ‘It’s no way to run a party; it’s no way to run a House. You can’t work in that environment.’” [Politico, 4/11/24]
Greene Said Her Threat To Oust Johnson Was “Internal” And Him Going To Meet With Trump Were “Totally Two Separate Issues.” According to Raw Story, “‘Asked if Trump’s appearance with Mike Johnson tomorrow will influence her push for the speaker’s ouster, MTG told me: 'I think the motion to vacate is also being supported by quite a few members in our conference. That’s an internal House issue with our elected Speaker of the House. Totally two separate issues.'’” [Raw Story, 4/11/24]
Greene Said She Loved Trump And He Loved Her When Asked If She Would Stand Down From Ousting Johnson If Trump Asked Her To. According to Raw Story, “Then she was asked a hypothetical about if Trump were to ask her to stand down her threat to cut Johnson's Speaker wings, would she back off? ‘Let me tell you, I support President Trump,’ she told Raju. ‘I’m one of his biggest fighters here in Congress. He knows it.’ She then added, ‘I love the president, he loves me. We’re fighting hard for him to win and that’s all that matters.’” [Raw Story, 4/11/24]
